Features > Editing with FrontPage Express
FrontPage Express is a free, limited functionality version of
Microsoft FrontPage, a popular HTML web editing software. It is
simple to use, and ideal for making small editorial changes to your
website.
Opening FrontPage Express
FrontPage Express is part of a typical Windows 98 setup. To open
it, click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, point
to Internet Tools, and then click FrontPage Express. If you are
using a newer version of Windows, FrontPage Express may not be available.
If you can't find the program you can download it from here:

1. Open the web page you want to edit:
In FrontPage Express, click on File > Open.
A dialogue box appear with two options, to open 'from file' or 'from
location'.
Select 'From Location' and type in the address of the web page you
would like to edit. You can take this from the browser window -
it will look like a link.
E.g. http://www.mywebsite.com/stories/holiday.htm
If you have a copy of your website on your computer, you can open
the file from there, otherwise, you will open the file straight
from its web location. Click OK.
2. Edit the Text:
FrontPage Express works like a word processor, and you can simply
select and edit text as required. The tools that run along the top
of the window can be used to change text size and colour.
Note: It is not advisable to change fonts using FrontPage Express.
The program does not offer font substitution, so your web page may
not look consistent across platforms.
3. Save the Page:
Once you have made the changes to the page, you can save it back
to the live server. Go to File > Save.
A dialogue box appears. Type in your user name and password. (You
will get this information from your web hosting provider - sometimes
known as ftp info)
Click OK
The page saves to the server and the update is complete.
4. Test:
Be sure to view any changes in your usual browser to make sure the
changes appear as desired.
