Speckled Frog are currently looking for freelance web designers for ongoing work. From creative visual design to CSS / standards compliant development, the ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills and feel happy dealing with clients by phone or face to face.

Speckled Frog is a small, successful web design company based in Cambridge. Due to workload we are looking for individuals or other small companies that would be able to help on a freelance basis with all aspects of our work. The main focus in most of our projects is on creative, usable designs which we build using CSS/XHTML to current web standards. The ideal candidate would have a creative or technical background and be confident dealing with client queries over the telephone or face to face on behalf of the company.

Required skills:

• At least three years commercial web design experience, including Fireworks/Photoshop, CSS, Dreamweaver/HTML.
• A solid understanding of good design and usability principles and the ability to create visuals quickly and efficiently for client review (Preferably in Fireworks – Photoshop acceptable)
• Ability to take visuals from the design phase and build standards compliant templates and sites using CSS/XHTML. Our larger sites are usually built in ASP for Microsoft servers running SQL. Note: we do not require programming skills but an understanding of dynamic sites will be helpful.
• Experience of developing and testing across multiple browsers, platforms etc.
• Professional and confident attitude when dealing with all client queries. This could be over the phone or face to face in client meetings.
